Even though I generally do not like hard work, I do consider work to be a positive aspect of life. This may seem contradictory. Maybe it is to a degree. But a life of being born rich and living in luxury, being able to do anything one pleases, would, I think, bore the hell out of me after a while. In order to get satisfaction in life I consider it important to do creative work, to produce things. The writing of this text, for example, is creative work which I find fulfilling. Especially when the work is finished, that provides for a feeling of contentment. Being paid for work gives extra satisfaction, because the money proves your work is valuable (for others). In almost any kind of work there is some kind of creativity. For that reason any work will provide for a certain amount of satisfaction. I get the most satisfaction when I invent new things in my work, such as a new web site design, an original idea for an article, an invention, a computer program, etc.
